Minneapolis Community Education is always looking for new class ideas and new instructors. We offer three terms each year for the Adult Enrichment program. The Lifelong Learning for 55+ program also offers summer options.
Fall session runs October - early December
Winter the third week in January through mid March
Spring classes are offered in early April through May or early June.
Classes meet for as few as one or as many as eight sessions. Most of our classes meet in the evenings at locations throughout the city. There are some daytime and Saturday classes available in school buildings and partner locations.
To be considered for the spring quarter, please submit a completed proposal by January 15. For the fall quarter, submit proposals by May 15 or earlier. Note that most of our staff do not work in the summer-fall programs are planned in the spring.
If you have an idea for a class, activity or workshop, please download the instructor proposal form below and mail, e-mail, or fax us your completed proposal. The application will be forwarded to one or more sites that you indicate on your forms. You may also contact them directly-site information can be found on the Contact page above.
Please note: Community Education fees are kept as reasonable as possible to make the program accessible. We utilize instructor pay guidelines and have a set fee structure as part of this effort.
